Leonardo da Vinci project TEAM ECOCONSTRUCTION LLP-LdV-TOI-2008-FR-117003 Pilot course “Energy Efficient Renovation with Use Of Eco-construction Methods” was held at Ergli Vocational School, April 26th to 30th, 2010.

During the course five days training program participants obtained theoretical knowledge about the importance of energy efficiency, low energy consumption of buildings, thermal bridges, thermal insulation and eco-building materials, montage of window and quality control of the site.

There was demonstration of room pressure test and practical work in the construction of straw house.

Task of the practical part was renovation of the brick wall fragment with eco construction techniques. The author of technical drawings is certified passive houses designer Ervin Krauklis. The result was a demonstration wall with specially designed window and a 40 cm thick wall insulation, which fill with the various insulation materials.

At the end of course was knowledge assessment test. All course participants showed very good knowledge and get certificates:

Results

The project products will be multimedia learning materials written in the various languages of the project partners and accessible via a learning platform. The first stage of the project consists in the development of screenplays which will serve as a base for programming multimedia learning materials. The production of screenplays is effectively supported by the open source learning platform OLAT, installed at the LVG Heidelberg. With OLAT it will be possible to create international learning groups of aboricultural students. In this way, the project will contribute to boosting the mobility of European arboricultural professionals.
